I bought a home in the Desert Ridge area several months ago. The travertine floor had a large crack in the living room area and there were several other cracked tiles throughout the house. I initially hired another contractor who did a terrible job repairing the floor. The new tiles did not match and stood out noticeably from the rest of the floor. The contractor also used a top coat finish on the tiles which scratched easily and looked terrible. Not wanting to live with this disaster, I began an online search for someone who might be able to restore the travertine tiles. After reviewing this website, I gave Tom Baker a call. He and Amy came to my home and examined the floor. They provided me with an estimate and were very helpful with their suggestions. I then went on a mission to find tiles that matched the existing ones. When I thought I found some matching tiles, Tom came back out to the house and polished them up to make sure they were a match. We were both astonished that I found exactly the right stone! Tom then went to the warehouse where I found the matching tiles and picked out the best ones he could find. This was far beyond the call of duty! After the matching tiles were installed, he and his team then stripped, cleaned and polished the entire floor, restoring it to a beauty I didn't think was possible. Tom and his team saved the day! Ryan and Ray were great as well. I went from thinking that I'd have to get used to mismatched tiles to having a perfectly restored floor that looks great! I can't say enough good things about Tom & Amy and their team! |
